I LOVE this book!
I completely understand why it has sold over a million copies. It should come included with every weight bench or dumbbell set so people don't make the same rookie mistakes I have.
Fred Delavier not only keeps things interesting by showing readers which muscle groups are stimulated by various exercises, he takes the time to explain the proper form, as well as pauses to outline how and why injuries occur with certain movements. Although I've only read a handful of books on the subject thus far, I'm positive this one is going to remain in my Top 5.

It's now full speed ahead: Upon the advice of Mr. Jay Cutler, I'm weight training six days a week.
| Monday: chest Tuesday: back Wednesday: core Thursday: shoulders Friday: arms Saturday: legs Sunday: off | |
I'm deliberately treading a thin line with this new schedule: It's designed to keep tension on adjoining and complementary muscle groups (chest/back and shoulders/arms), yet I have to remain mindful of recovery times. For example, the muscles of the lower back take approximately 100 hours to heal whereas biceps bounce back almost overnight.
